Meet the Team

Jessica Mills, APRN

Founder/Owner

Jessica “Jessie” Mills founded Highland Family Medical with a simple but powerful vision: to bring healthcare back to what it should be — personal, compassionate, and rooted in community. With more than 20 years of experience in nursing, Jessie has cared for patients in a variety of settings, gaining not only clinical expertise but a deep understanding of how meaningful relationships impact health outcomes. She earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, further strengthening her commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based primary care.

Throughout her career, Jessie saw firsthand how rushed visits and impersonal systems could leave patients feeling unheard. She knew families deserved more — more time, more connection, and more trust in their provider. That calling led her to establish Highland Family Medical, a practice where patients are treated like family, conversations are never hurried, and care is tailored to the whole person. Jessie is passionate about walking alongside her patients through every stage of life, ensuring they feel supported through challenges, and providing steady, dependable care they can count on. For her, medicine isn’t just a profession; it’s a calling to serve her community with integrity, kindness, and excellence.
